The Role
The Sample Coordinator supports the product development department and reports to the head of product development. This role is ideal for recent graduates in the areas of fashion and interior design. The Sample Coordinator is an entry-level position that could lead to future growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Supports the product development, packaging and sales team in tracking, organizing and distributing samples at the office.
Act as the first touch point for samples arriving on site and distribute internally, following up on items to be actioned within 48-hour time span
Track, update and maintain log of incoming and outgoing samples
Collect and organize all samples throughout development process (prototypes to preproduction to TOP) in specified storage system
Archive older samples in specific areas in the warehouse
Photograph and log all samples in program specific folders on the company drive
Assist product developers in reviewing samples for colour and construction accuracy and update development logs with initial comments
Coordinate the sending of samples to vendors and clients through suggested courier services
Request additional samples from vendors as needed
Review TOP samples and update final report
Help in showroom styling and organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Knowledge of textiles and cut + sew construction
Highly organized and extremely detailed
Experience working with PMS (Pantones)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop an asset
Experience working with apparel and home soft goods an asset
